A second opinion, settled by readings

When two companies disagree, the readings decide.

Joseph Haggerty's Amana was 14 months old when another company told him the compressor was bad. He didn't book a second visit with them. He called Crossway for a second opinion, and the office scheduled it for two days later.

“Two techs arrived as scheduled and did a thorough evaluation.” Then the tablet came out. The photo beside this text is a real reading from an Amana 16 system on R410A: 166.79 psig at 58.8°F on one line, 169.11 psig at 59.5°F on the other, superheat 0.2, subcooling 0.1. A technician who reads those numbers can tell you what's wrong, and can also tell you when nothing is.

That habit runs through the rest of the work. We read the system before we recommend anything on air conditioning repair and tune-ups, and we put a flow hood to the register to measure what a duct run delivers before anyone talks about ductwork.

Brian, Ray, and one household

The names on the reviews.

Brian Wright owns the company, and customers name him. Ray works the office and the schedule, and customers name him too. Here is what they wrote, in their own words.

“We've flooded several times in the past and needed lots of A/C repairs and replacements, they have never failed me”

“most recently Brian's team replaced our furnaces and all of the ductwork which was a huge job and their craftsmanship and teamwork was remarkable”

Kathy Hofmann, Google review, 5 stars. The job she describes is a full ductwork replacement with new furnaces.
